# What is the VIP List?

The VIP List is a tool to help achieve [a calm workflow](https://support.mailmanhq.com/en/article/what-does-my-email-workflow-look-like-with-mailman-hquxcd/). Before Mailman, everyone can add an email to your inbox. It's easy for them, but a decision and work for you. With Mailman, you can define exactly who can demand your immediate attention.

If an incoming email matches any entry from the VIP list, those emails bypass Mailman altogether and show up in your inbox immediately.

There are three ways to define VIPs for your inbox.

## VIP Domains

Sometimes you wish to receive emails from anybody with the ...**@example.com** email address. It could be the domain of your company, domain of your bank, or any other product you use (eg. stripe.com or substack.com).

## VIP Email Addresses

These could be the full email addresses of your lawyers, your VIP customers, your family members, etc.

## VIP Keywords

These are generic words that can be configured to be VIP keywords. If any of these keywords if found in the incoming email, those will be delivered immediately.
