How NOT to miss transactional emails like password resets and email confirmations?
It's all good and sorted if we only received emails from human beings. But the popularity of email is such that it's used for several purposes other than communication.
Imagine how irritating a situation would be when you're trying to reset the password for some service but because of Mailman, you're not receiving the email to reset your password. It'd be frustrating.
Some transactional emails are so urgent that our daily use of the internet depends on them. Mailman can be set in a way that makes sure you never miss out on any such urgent email.
To solve this, we'll use VIP Keywords.
After months of research, we've found that adding the following phrases as the VIP keywords in your account, you'll almost never miss out on transactional emails like password resets or email confirmations.
The VIP Keywords are:
confirm, verify, password, OTP, security alert, reset, 2FA
Be aware of a tiny side-effect, though. Using these keywords as VIPs can sometimes lead to false positives. Very rarely, there could be emails that are not transactional but they show up in your inbox because they contain some of these keywords. It rarely happens, but it's a good thing to be aware of.
