What does my email workflow look like with Mailman?
Mailman is the suite of tools that helps you maintain a calmer inbox. With the current state of our inboxes, everything seems to be on fire, when in reality, that's not the case.
After signing up for Mailman and activating it, your new workflow would look like the following.
As soon as you activate Mailman, it stops any incoming emails showing up in your inbox. All of them are snoozed until you're ready to tackle them – at your time.
Delivery Slots allow you to set a schedule for yourself when all the snoozed emails are delivered to your inbox. Only at these delivery slots, emails show up in your inbox, and that's when you'll handle them – not throughout the day.
Of course, there would be certain kinds of emails that you'd like to receive immediately. They could be from people like your VIP customers, your team members, or your family.
With VIPs, you can set various domains, email addresses, and keywords, when any of which is found in an email, they are delivered to your inbox immediately.
Any email coming in from unknown senders, which is, from someone to whom you've never sent an email, are held back for your review.
Once a day, in the evening, Mailman sends you a Daily Digest of all the emails that need your review. Once reviewed OK, they appear in your inbox.
If you don't want Mailman to filter out emails from unknown senders, it's possible to turn it off.
To summarize, once your Mailman account is setup –
you'll get emails only at the configured delivery slots,
only VIPs can get your immediate attention, and,
all emails coming from unknown senders will need your review.
On average, we've seen our users saving over 30 minutes per day with Mailman. Thirty minutes saved per day quickly adds up to one full week saved in a year. Seven additional days in the year.
Now, you know what your new workflow would look like, here are the best practices how to best configure your Mailman account for your inbox.
